FOSSIL Handbags

Fossil 54' Satchel in Tan, $250 (late 2007)

- Vintage style, Shoulder Bag
- Smooth leather with a slight sheen
- Chunky brass hardware and key charm
- Monogram lining, divided interior, slip pockets, key ring

I love how it looks up front also, all the details really show well! The adjustable straps are also a very pretty detail and the shape is very unique.

Chunky metal hardware inside and beautifully leather lined pocket. The key ring is also great!

Notes: This is the bag that started it all. It is still one of my favorites, and I wear it for special occasions and any outfit that does well with this sort of tan. It has perfect pockets, lining with leather accents, divider and a key ring!! I wish all bags were like that. It is much worn and has survived rain and a apple juice spill that drenched the lower part (I cleaned it), and I think it looks great still! The leather isn't as shiny as it looks, it is a nice, antique looking (?) leather.

Looks with this bag:

Fossil Suede Leather Hobo, $60 (Ebay, NWT) (2008)

- Slouchy, big pouch
- Soft, chocolate brown suede leather
- cognac smooth leather straps with brass studded detail, brass hardware at handles
- 1 main compartment, 1 zipper compartment, 2 slip pockets
- Fossil, leather logo tag inside

Notes: I think of it as my earthy, boho bag. I usually combine it with anything natural colored, brown, tan, khaki. The suede leather has a wonderful texture! This bag has a rustic overall feel to it.
I find the hobo shape a bit harder to wear then other bags though (and it is difficult to find things), plus the handles are bit tricky to keep on the shoulder.

Looks with this bag:

4. Fossil Sasha Satchel, $140, (2009)
- Soft Rectangle, Satchel, Shoulder & Crossbody Bag, front pocket as well as many zip pockets.
- Black, thick, smooth leather
- Brass hardware and key charm
- Black cotton lining, 2 slip pockets, 1 zipper pocket.

Love the design and detail on the front!!

Notes: Also one of my favorites, and my most worn bag! It goes with so many outfits, the size is perfect, and thanks to all the compartments and zippers I can pack it so well, nothing gets lost ever. The quality and leather is just as amazing as the 54 Satchel. I never babied this bag, and it has been through bad weather, yet it shows almost no signs of wear!

Looks with this bag:

5. Fossil Emory Flap, $98 (2011)

- Small, soft, square pouch, long strap
- Thick, soft, navy and dark brown leather
- Chunky Brass hardware, buckle on flap, key and keyhole charm
- Brown monogram lining, 1 zip pocket and one slip pocket

Notes: I also love this typical Fossil design. The buckle detail and key charm really caught my eye. The leather is beautiful like always. I have worn this bag on nights out because I feel I can keep a small bag safe from beer and other dangers. The leather is also not too delicate and a bit of water or dirt can be wiped off without a problem.

10. Fossil Sydney Satchel, €110 (reduced from 140) (2013)

- Medium size Bowling Bag style, top handles and crossbody strap
- Smooth, medium thick, slightly textured green leather
- Silver hardware, leather zippers, silver Fossil stamp on the front
- Green Canvas lining with 2 slip pockets, 1 zipper pocket and multiple credit card pockets, 1 key chain strap

I stuff it to maintain the shape and it works. It keeps the shape after being worn when stuffed again.

Slip pocket in the back (my iPod lives in there)

Love this detail, it looks so pretty

Holds cards, books, post its, phone, iPod etc.

Key strap!! :)

Notes: Yet another favorite ( I have many ;). I was looking for a colorful bag, because I owned so many neutral bags already. What caught my eye here is the beautiful simplicity. The shape, the sleekness, the subtle Fossil stamp on the front. I felt it was different from my more rustic bags. More elegant. I was thinking long and hard about a color, but I am glad I went with green. It is easily combined with all sorts of looks. The color is called "teal", though many bags don't look teal at all, and I actually prefer green over teal. The bag has the perfect size and lots of room.

Looks with this bag:

11. Fossil Keyper Satchel, quilted, €?? (gift from my parents, who got a good deal) (2013)

- Medium size Bowling Bag style, top handles and crossbody strap
- Quilted plum colored Canvas with stitching and khaki leather accents, as well as a grey, textured, slightly metallic flap
- Silver hardware,  brown leather and khaki hard plastic accents and key charm with patent leather strap and 2 plastic beads
- Green, leaf pattern canvas lining with one zipper and two slip pockets, credit card pockets

18. Fossil Emory Flap #2, €4 (Pre-owned, Ebay steal) (2014)
- Small, soft, square pouch, long strap
- Thick, soft, taupe and dark brown leather
- Chunky Brass hardware, buckle on flap (key and keyhole charm missing)
- Brown monogram lining, 1 zip pocket and one slip pocket

Notes: I stumbled across this by accident on Ebay. I could not believe someone was going to toss a Fossil bag for 4 Euros! It is a little scratched, but some leather cleaner and oil should fix it a bit. I will gladly use this cute bag for outdoor activities though, or whenever I don't want my other bags to get beat up. The color is a great addition too, and fits with this ten year old camouflage jacket of mine.

Looks with this bag:

Fossil Austin Crossbody Red/ antique gold HW, €20 (Ebay) (2015)

- Twist Lock
- Key Charm
- Raw leather interior, no pockets
- Adjustable Strap

Notes: A basic but cute bag from Fossil. Fits just enough things and I love the design.

Looks with this bag:

5th Avenue Handbags

5th Avenue Small Classic Flap,  €29 (2012)

- Small pouch, long strap
- Buttery soft, squishy, matte, smooth, brown leather
- Silver hardware, 2 small buckles on flap, 5th Avenue stamp on flap, 5th Avenue tag
- Striped seersucker lining, divided compartments, 2 slip pockets and one zipper pocket

You can already tell the leather is perfect from a photo!

Love the stamp!

Notes: This was a surprise find when shoping for shoes. I saw this bag and thought to myself that it looks like real leather. I was surprised to see it was a 5th Avenue bag. The leather and the interior was so beautiful and perfect, and then the price. Really I am amazed at the beautiful lining inside and the added, divider compartment! Bags ten times this price often don't have that. The leather is the definition of buttery soft, which is perfect for this bag.

Looks with this bag:

5th Avenue Classic Style Vintage Satchel,  €49 (2012)

- Rectangle Shape, slim with small top handle and crossbody strap
- Very soft, smooth, antique finish, red-brown leather
- 2 buckles and one key lock, 2 slip pockets on exterior, key
- Light brown cloth lining, 2 slip and one zipper pocket.

This lock works!

Neat stitching!

These 2 pockets fit so much!

Notes: I had been looking for a vintage style book satchel like this for a while. It is perfect for taking a bunch of things along, and never looks too stuffed. The interior is a bit more simple, but the beautiful details on the outside make up for it. This bag gets a lot of compliments and I find it really stands out. Also a fave.

Looks with this bag:

5th Avenue Colorblock Classic Tote Bag, €49 (2013)

- Soft large tote, shoulder bag
- Very soft, matte leather in taupe (textured leather) and orange (very smooth)
- Contrasting brown leather handles, no hardware, 5th Avenue tag
- Light brown cloth lining, 2 slip and one zipper pocket

Notes: I needed a bigger bag that fits extra clothing or even a blanket and also some foods, for long days out with my son. We go to Play dates quite often and sit in the grass. It gets chilly in the evening and we get hungry during a long day, so sometimes it is good to be able to take a lot.

Rebecca Minkoff

Rebecca Minkoff Jules Crossbody (black) € 160 (2014)

- box shape

- Soft, pebbled leather
- adjustable straps
- roomy front flap pocket
- Engraved gold hardware and buckle details
- 1 Flap pocket, 1 Zipper pocket, 1 large slip pocket (holds my walled)

Notes: Amazing, practical, small bag! Fits quite a bit and the front flap is very useful. I also like the large slip pocket inside that holds my wallet. The leather is very resilient, even with a bit of rain. I had no quality issues with this little bag. I love the boxy shape and the unique flap. I am already getting a lot of use out of this little bag. This is a favorite.

Looks with this bag:

Rebecca Minkoff MAB Mini black/ gold HW, € 375 (2015)

- thick supple leather
- sturdy rolled handles
- front zipper pocket with envelope style flap
- lobster clasps on each side
- 2 slip pockets, 1 zipper pocket, 1 card pocket
- metal logo plate on back
- leather logo inside
- stamped zippers and hardware
- cross body strap

Notes: I had been wanting to get this bag since last year spring, yet it was not affordable and not easily available. This time I got lucky I guess :). The bag was even nicer than expected, very thick, somewhat firm yet soft leather. What you see is the empty bag retaining it's shape. I personally don't like my bags too slouchy. This is a timeless design with beautiful, thought through and classy details. My favorite part of the design is the envelope shaped front flap.

Tip: Hooking the cross body strap to the D-Rings works if you purchase a removable gold ring or clasp. The bag can be carried better this way.

MCM Modern Creation München

MCM Little Veronika Visetos Snake, €585 (2014)

- rectangular, very structured boxy shape with sharp lines

- Adjustable, detachable straps with shoulder pad
- Engraved brass hardware
- Engraved brass turnlock
- Snake skin with yellow and black leather
- 3 compartments, 1 big compartment and 1 slim compartment on each side, 2 slip and one zipper pocket.

Notes: Certainly my priciest bag yet...though it is not even among the higher priced designer bags yet. I wanted to see if you really get a better quality bag when paying more, and as far as this particular bag is concerned, you do. I really like the very structured rectangular shape and the different colors and textures. The yellow is a nice little surprise when seeing the side of the bag. A part of the bag is made with snakeskin (elaphe guttata, a water snake), the other parts with really soft leather. The bag fits just the right amount of things. This is one of my favorite bags as of now, together with a few Fossil and RM bags...;)

Other Labels

H&M Satchel with Gussets, €19.90 (2013)

- Stiff, structured Satchel with top handle and short crossbody strap
- Stiff faux leather in a tan shade, golden hardware and clasps
- Polyester lining, 2 slip pockets, 1 zipper pocket, leather zippers

Notes:  I liked the shape of this bag and although I had planned not to purchase faux leather bags anymore, I decided to give this a try. It does look great with certain looks and it is very roomy. I have taken it sightseeing and it s perfect because I can carry it crossbody and by the handles while taking pictures. I later learne it is a copy of the Givenchy Antigona bag ( :/)...oh well.

Looks with this bag:

H&M Box Shape Small Flap Bag, €9.90 (2014)

- Structured, box shape with simple flap and adjustable, thin shoulder strap
- Thick, pebbled, lemon faux leather
- Silver hardware and chunky metal zipper
- Neon yellow polyester lining with one slip and one zipper pocket

Notes: I got this bag to complete a look, and because I wanted a yellow bag for summer and am not planning to buy a yellow leather bag for now. The shape is cute and simple and it really was perfect for the look. Probably also good for going out.

Looks with this bag:

Mango Rectangle, Quilted Shoulder Bag, €29.90 (2014)

- Structured, box shape with top zip, adjustable, long shoulder strap
- Soft, smooth, black faux leather with quilted detail
- Silver hardware, chunky metal zippers, Mango metal logo, tassel
- Black Canvas, one zipper pocket

Notes: Since I only had one black bag, which is a bit bigger, I thought it would be a good idea to get this small, somewhat rockish looking bag. I wanted something that isn't rustic and even a bit futuristic/ weird. I love the quilted look. The quality of this faux leather is quite good and soft!

Looks with this bag:

15. Zara Mini City Tote €49 (2014)

- Very structured square shape with top handles and crossbody strap
- Firm, thick, textured blue faux leather
- Chunky, gold metal hardware and zippers, zipper pockets on exterior, 2 belt buckles on exterior, clip for top handles
- Undyed linen lining with faux leather borders, multiple slip and credit card pockets, 2 large zipper pockets on each wall of the bag, magnetic closure.

I like that the top handles can be clipped together!

Chunky metal zipper!

Stamped, leather lined, with linen lining, so pretty!

The best pockets! Fits diapers, wipes, books, notepads, magazines

Notes: Sigh...this faux leather bag has such a beautiful design (so structured!!) and perfect pockets/ lining...that it is also amongst my favorites. I wasn't planning to buy it and used part of the money I had saved up for tattoos and piercings. It is also a perfect size and the color is very pretty. I love all the pockets, especially the large ones inbuilt into the exterior of the bag! It has beautiful hardware and detail and wearing it is a joy. I hope it will live a long time. It is perfect with any light jean colors.

Looks with this bag:

Zara Mini Camera Bag, Tan €29 (2014)

- cute little design
- several compartments

Looks with this bag:

OEM Vintage flap Quilt bag 2.55, black/ gunmetal HW €57 .(Ebay) (2014)

- pretty much looks like the classic Chanel Flap with elements of the Vintage Reissue 2.55
- all red leather interior
- many pockets and compartments
- extra flap on the inside that prevents things from falling out
- little slip pocket on the bag
- supple lamb skin leather and puffy quilts

Notes: Yes, it does look very much like a Chanel bag. The makers are certainly copy cats. The bag ships from Belgium but the manufacturers seem to be Chinese. But, it is not an actual replica because it doesn't have any labels on it and there are slight differences. So if you want the design and don't have to have the labels name on it, this might be an alternative. Personally I couldn't spend 5000 on a new Chanel bag. It just seems too much for a bit of leather. I don't judge anyone who does, but I rather look at lower priced bags.
The quality of this bag is very, very good...I was surprised. It can keep up with contemporary designer brands. All the detail inside and the stitching are done well. I like this bag a lot, copy cat or not.

Bags not with me anymore:

Fossil Signature Satchel, $59 (Ebay, NWT), (2008)

- Rectangle, Satchel Style, Shoulder Bag
- Black canvas and leather with brown mongram print
- Brass hardware and key charm
(this bag was stolen in 2009, I liked it a lot) :(

The pictures are NOT my bag, just the same model from Ebay, the heart is not part of the bag, it had a small key charm. Edit: I found pictures of my old bag bag and will try to add them soon.

Notes: I really liked this bag, but it was stolen with all it's contents in 2009! Including my credit cards and green card (which cost over 400 to replace it!). I left it in the trunk of the car and someone actually broke open the trunk. Weirdly, my German ID card was found by someone and sent home to my town in Germany. This bag was very practical and perfect for work. Very organized, structured, great to carry and the Monogram design wasn't too "loud".ag:

Looks with this bag:

I do have pictures of it worn somewhere actually, will try to find them

Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mac Clutch, €189 (2014) Returned bc of defect!

- Structured Clutch Bag with Chain Strap, Signature style flap pocket on front.
- Firm, thick, smooth leather in a cool neon pink shade
- Gold Metal hardware and chain as well as studs on the leather part of the shoulder strap, lobster clasp on front flap.
- Black and Off White, Graphic lining with RM lettering, 1 zipper and 1 small zip pocket.

The long tassels are very cute IMO

This is a very accurate picture of the color. I like that it is a bright, cool neon pink tone. It really stands out and looks great with neutral colors or clothing with pink detail.

Notes: I felt like it is time to explore other brands, and while browsing on, I came across Rebecca Minkoff (while searching in a certain price range). Her designs, particularly the little flap/ envelope detail she adds are very unique to me. Of course this is also a favorite. I am a huge fan of neon colors, always have been.

Looks with this bag:

Rebecca Minkoff fuchsia Mini MAC (2014), exchange for defect bag

- structured clutch design

- front flap with lobster clasp
- soft, medium stick fuchsia leather
- Engraved zippers, long leather tassel zipper pull
- patterned lining
- Removable chain/ leather strap

Notes: My first Mini MAC hat major problems. There were chips where the color was missing (not caused by me I wore it once!), and spots where the color was coming off.  I was considering selling it (and got the Jules Crossbody instead) because the site could not offer me a replacement. But then Rebecca Minkoff Headquarters themselves arranged a return from New York! Another neon bag also had issues, so I chose the Fuchsia color, which is next to flawless! And the leather is so much nicer, more leathery. Neon seems to have problems.

Note: I sold it because I wasn't really able to wear it with much. It has lots going on with the gold, clasp, chain...and I always missed the neon pink bag. It will enable me to a new small bag.

Looks with this bag:

16. H&M Small Envelope Clutch with long strap €14.90 (2014)

- Simple, rounded rectangle, 3 pouch bag
- Soft, greenish-yellow, textured faux leather, center pocket is a very smooth leather as well as the strap
- Silver colored plastic hardware and plastic zippers
- light green polyester lining, 3 compartments, center is a zipper compartment

Looks with this bag:

12. Graceland Colorblock, Flap Purse, €14.90 (2014)

- Soft, rounded, classic Flap Style with long, adjustable shoulder strap
- Thick, faux leather with realistic leather texture in royal blue, creme and tan
- Gold hardware, slip pocket on exterior, twist lock
- Floral print canvas lining all throughout the bag (!), divided pockets, 2 slip and 1 zipper pocket.

Notes: I was unable to pair it with anything. So I thought someone else might be able to get more wear out of it.
